Fellowship: Pediatric Emergency Medicine, St. Louis Children’s Hospital

Residency: Pediatrics, St. Louis Children’s Hospital

Personal: Dr. Williams is married with four children of her own. She enjoys exercise, cooking and reading.

“Despite the challenge and excitement of the emergency department, I felt that I was missing an important part of caring for pediatric patients. I knew that I wanted to follow my patients forward and continue the relationships that I started in the ED. I believe that staying up to date on current diagnostic and treatment strategies is essential to providing excellent care. I look forward to seeing your children when they are well, and I am ready to help if they become sick or injured.”

She then worked for six years as a Washington University pediatric hospitalist, with emphasis on newborn medicine, emergency care and inpatient pediatric care. She is enthusiastic about her expanded focus of preventative medicine and care of the well child.

Board Certification: Pediatrics

Residency: Pediatrics, St. Louis Children’s Hospital

Personal: Dr. Shakofsky was born and raised in the St. Louis area and currently lives in Creve Coeur with her husband, Ryan, and three young children—Leo, Laine and Sadie. She spends most of her free time outdoors with her husband and children. When she’s not chasing her kids, she also enjoys traveling, boating and dining out with family and friends.

“My goal as a pediatrician is to work with you and your family to provide the medical knowledge and support necessary to raise happy, healthy children. While my experiences taking care of newborns and children in the hospital setting have been invaluable, I am excited to focus on outpatient pediatric care and form lasting relationships with children of all ages and their families. As my best pediatric teachers—my three little ones—have taught me, raising children is an incredible challenge and an absolute joy. I feel both privileged and thrilled to share this experience with you!”
